The 2011 GT-R/Z Nationals is just around the corner. This year's event begins on Friday September 23[sup]rd[/sup] and lasts through Sunday, September 25[sup]th. [/sup]It will feature a full weekend of activities, giveaways, and incredible Nissan and Infiniti vehicles. The 2010 event was a major success with enthusiasts attending from all over the globe, including several representatives from Nissan North America.

The 7[sup]th[/sup] Annual Z/GT-R Nationals begins with an organized cruise and dinner Friday evening, with opportunities for our photographers and videographers to capture the cars in action. Saturday's show in shine will be the backdrop for our dyno competition as participants square off to see who can lay down the most horsepower on the dyno. This year's HPDE style track day will be at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, GA. The 2011 edition of the Z Nationals will once again be co-branded and promoted along with the GTR Nationals. As the 3[sup]rd[/sup] year of the jointly promoted event, we expect an even larger contingency of GTR and Skyline models. This unique gathering of Nissan sports cars and super cars is sure to be an exciting event and an excellent opportunity for all who are involved.

The Z/GT-R Nationals has been a tremendous success over the past six years and this year's event promises to be even bigger and better. The 2010 event hosted well over 300 Nissan Z Cars of all years and models as well as some 1000 visitors who passed through the entry gates. Event sponsors contribute various performance parts, products, promotional materials, and apparel to be distributed to event participants. At the 2010 Z Nationals over $40,000 in prizes and awards were given away to participants. There will be thousands of dollars worth of various GT-R parts awarded and raffled from sponsors such as SpeedForSale, Dodson Motorsport, and others!

The 2010 event was commemorated and shared with the world's enthusiasts via extensive photo coverage from several professional photographers and multiple auto industry magazines. The entire event was covered by Modified Magazine, Nissan Sport magazine, and featured on many major forums. This year we have a professional film crew, Two Step Creative, lined up to create a video focused on the event. We also have renowned photographer David Wilks, of Race Shot Resource, known for his work in SECA, Grand Am Cup Series, and American LeMans racing, on hand to photograph the weekend's events. The photos and videos captured will be used to promote Z/GT-R Nationals and its sponsors through extensive forum and social media outlets, featured in various magazines, and posted on the Z/GT-R Nationals website.

It sounds like a great event, but I think people should be aware that all of the pre-track events are in Carrolton, GA, 90minutes from the track. I mistakenly made reservations for these events before realizing I'd be so far from the track. Just a heads up so people don't make the same mistake I did.

With that said, I'm still going to the track day.

Correct, if you visit the link to the main website I posted in the opening post, you can see a full itinerary for the weekend. See you there!

Hello everyone. Yesterday we were at Atlanta Motor Speedway going over the logistics with the track manager. Everything is planned out well and we aim to host a professional and well organized event for everyone. We even (accidentally) did a bit of off-roading through the grass at the chicane in the Camaro SS NASCAR pace car...luckily no damage and just some grass on the front lip, heh
Those high banks are steep and FUN!
