Aftermarket Seats...

Just want to know everyone's opinion on these seats, and if there are any suggestions on seats. I love lightweight I have a normal physique I weigh about 170, about 5'11''. Which also I would like to have are limited edition seats, that would match the overall look of a White ext, black int GTR. Brands recaro, sparco, bride all would do. I was looking at these seats by sparco. They were designed for a GT3/GT2, but fits in 911 turbos but not sure if they fit in a GTR, but they do have RS symbols right in the center of the seat, and is offered in green which would match my lambo green calipers...

If anyone can chime in on if these would fit in the GTR, and would look good or it would be too tacky cause it has the RS symbol on it, but they look awesome...

Honestly... If you have the money I would get ASM seats for the GTR! They are Recaros but are re-done by ASM and are VERY nice!! Here is a link to a site that carries them... I really like them and I hadn't gotten the Recaro SPA seats which are very small... I'm 5'10 and about 150 lbs... The Recaro SPA seat fits very snug on me! I would have gotten the ASM seats.

Not sure how often you drive your car and for how long but the fixed seats can get uncomfortable for long drives not being able to recline even a tad can make the drive uncomfortable.

Have you consider Brides? They have some nice light weight adjustable ones.

Not sure if this is any different material than standard race sparco seats. I ve had a few of those and seen many others fade and lose color.

Recaro Japan SR-7s - hands down the most comfortable reclining sport seat I've ever sat in.

n00b question: aside from weight saving advantages, are there any other benefits to the race seats? I figure you lose power features, looks, safety: side airbags, get a stiffer seat that tends to be less comfy on daily drive/long haul.... all for what? just trying to figure out if there's any benefit for a non-enthusiast?

I want to get a set of seats so bad, but all the issues with removing the side air bags are holding me back.

Its too bad the Spec-V seats cost so much, I would love to be able to get those.

I want a set too, looking for them right now. Want to get them in the next two weeks!!

Any vendors can get them for me? sorry for the thread jack...chouder. Maybe Group Buy? haha Gus maybe interested too!

RS-Gs are tiny seats. If you're not small-framed, don't even bother with them.

I'm 5'11, 165lbs. Sat in the once at the show room... very nice and tight. but then again... in the car and in the show room will be different.

The dimensions seems to be similar to the Carrera GT seats (997 GT3 Euro Club sports seats). Am I correct?

group buy for seats would be awesome. I love the super stark but aren't they all sold. I thought they only made a certain amount

Super Stark RS-Gs are no more; they were very limited run.

As mentioned, the RS-Gs are really tight seats, especially in the hip area, so for anybody that's big-framed or around the 6'+ mark, I highly recommend you look at another seat.

Maybe we can do other nice color combo/limited? Ruby ones are sick, kind of expensive though. I'm in for a set of RS-Gs!

We get JDM Recaros on a regular basis, so if you guys can figure out what seats you want, a group buy might be possible. However, as a warning, the ASM Recaros cost dramatically more than the standard JDM Recaros because of the limited edition status and special materials.

Our GT-R has the SR-7 Evolutions in it. I love these seats, as they're incredibly comfortable and supportive.

i agree it depends on how much time you'll spend on the track/driving angry... comfort is a big part in my book thats why i always stay with stock seats. However if its a must. dish out an extra few hundred and get some recaros or brides

The SR-7s are actually more comfortable than the stock GT-R seats and they sit a tad bit lower.

Here is our GTR with the ASM Ruby's installed. We were able to get a few sets for customers, but have been told none are left. This set is availble if anyone is intersted.

damn glad I made this thread...seems more people are interested in seats because the seats in the GTR don't do justice...

I would love to get the SR7 advanced edition except that the car is black and that blue in the center piece will not match...On top the evolution ones with the orange look awesome but having that orange in the car wouldn't really match either. Im looking for both performance comfort and looks as well.

Any other selections, or are you able to customize any of these recaro seats...
