thats so fast.... its a formula so
gtr's do 60 - 130 in like 3.1

If you have not yet treated yourself to a live showing of an F1 car at a race you owe it to yourself as an auto enthusiast to do this. Watching them on TV does NO justice for the perspective of speed.I had no idea those cars were that fast, dam im speechless i always taught these GTRs tuned to over 1000 whp would walk a F1 car, that's just mind blogging
As an avid F1 fan (McLaren all the way) what Eric said is very true, plus as GTR owners we surely appreciate technology.... A F1 race is a showcase of a selection of some of the most advanced technology man has, it's definitely worth seeing in the flesh. The speed at which it unravels is simply amazing. If you have not yet treated yourself to a live showing of an F1 car at a race you owe it to yourself as an auto enthusiast to do this. Eric
There's nothing stock about a Formula 1 car. Wait, a car? An F1's not even a car - its a spaceship.so this car has the 1/4 mile time of an ALpha 12 GTR...in it's stock form? SICK
And when a turn comes, the F1 will zoom past as the Alpha GTR either sets its brakes on fire from stopping so hard, or becomes part of the wall the F1 flew past.I <3 F1
ALPHA 12 vs F150 Match race at the strip?
talk about a COOL video lol
Eric
lol The brakes will be just fine in the ALPHA 12 but yes I will HAPPILY concede that an F1 car will hand the ALPHA 12 its ass around a circuit. It would hand anything its ass around a circuit for that matter lol.And when a turn comes, the F1 will zoom past as the Alpha GTR either sets its brakes on fire from stopping so hard, or becomes part of the wall the F1 flew past.
Let's just see the epic fail of the F1 car, in numbers.Est 750 hp at the crank+ another 100hp from KERS ( activate above 110kph).
Ferrari F150 Car with ALONSO behind the wheel, est 750 hp + 100 hp KERS , overall est 850 hp @ 615 kg with fuel...
96-209 kph = 2,6 -2,7 seconds (60-130mph)
clean video- Speedo
same video, this time with acceleration data: time vs distance
0-100 kph 2.78s
0-160 kph 4.0s
0-200 kph 5.18s
0-240 kph 6.6s
0-270 kph 8.1s
1/4 mile = 8.95s @ 279 kph (174mph)
The 3 L engines were not really making more than 800 hp. HP was about the same. Also, the aero setting doesn't brake the car much in low speeds. Acceleration really slows down above 300 kph.Imagine how fast can be with low load aereo setting!Or how much fast was the 3.0L V10 engines!!!
Not even the Ferrari F1 car can hold up to skyliner. I read somewhere the F1 cars generate so much downforce that they can drive upside down.Let's just see the epic fail of the F1 car, in numbers.
Power to weight ratio: 0.72 kg/hp vs roughly 1.2 kg/hp of the Alpha 12 GTR.
1/4 mile: Slightly faster than an Alpha 12 GTR despite F1's great advantage in power to weight ratio: The forthcoming Alpha 15 or 16 will beat the F1 car for good.
0-100 kph: The Nissan clearly wins this one!!!
0-270 kph: F1 car wins easily and even the Alpha 16 won't beat it but it will come pretty close!
Top speed: The F1 car is aero-restricted to 230+ mph. Without its wing it can reach around 255 mph.
Alpha 12 GTR: Gear limited to around 230. With aero mods and gear ratio mods it will do at least 260 mph.
Suggestion: Take both the F1 car and an Alpha 12 GTR, and run them at the Bonneville flats (10 miles). The F1 car will be humiliated.
60-130 mph? A12 GTR: 3.3 seconds. A16 GTR? 3 seconds flat? 1500+ whp Gallardo: 3.0 seconds F1 car: 2.7 seconds.
A 2000 hp Gallardo should beat F1 60-130 run.
Eric, do I have your permission to do a comparison video featuring your alpha 12 speedometer footage and this F1 car?
What about price tag?. The F1 car costs many times as much as an Alpha 12.
So do Indy cars... All you need to generate is the car's weight in down force. It's mathematically true. I would not want to be the driver to find out, though. Not even the Ferrari F1 car can hold up to skyliner. I read somewhere the F1 cars generate so much downforce that they can drive upside down.
