If anyone is really serious about getting a Spec V, it shouldn't be too big a problem if there is a left hand drive version.
I did importation and legalization in the past. Nissan isn't going to want to hear it, or help you, but its very possible to import and legalize.
I have worked with a number of Registered Importers , and I know the rules and regulations well. Nissan would fight it for sure , but there is an answer for anything and everything they try and put out.
Its never cheap or easy, but its possible.
