For those who have followed, the AMS GT-R ran its best time of 10.69 @ 132 on pump gas, full weight, and runflats.

Today we decided to give the set of DR's and 18in volks a try while leaving everything else the same as the 10.69 pass! (BTW THANKS CHUCK H for lending us the set)

I wish the conditions were a little better...

But we are still excited

10.53 @ 133.68 mph

Track temp was about 125-130 Degrees. DA was 2500 at the time of the pass. Not to mention it was a blistering 87 degrees according to the track.

The bad part is we only got two runs in. The Track was hosting an event all day and into the evening. We were one of the only cars in test and tune.

After being there many hours and not running, the track owner felt bad about not getting us out so he invited us back on the house.

Slip and video soon to come.

Thanks Mcduck

Had this been on a better day I think we would have shaved off another 2-3 tenths. But the weather around here sucks lately so we figured what the hell- lets try it.

Will go back again soon though and hope to better this!

Thank you.

I have to give credit to AMS for their carefully thought out plan for modifying this car that started last year. They really are a first class shop and a bunch of great people that I've come to know as friends.

Can't wait to get the intercooler installed in a couple of weeks.

CONGRATS!

Those are 10.53 wheels/tires. One of my last passes (before Chuck took over the car) on that very set of wheels was a 10.53. (Before the 10.47 with the small NOS shot.)

10.53 on pump gas is awesome!!! That car is quite the BEAST.

What was the 60ft, 1.6?

Much appreciated John- love the wheels and tires BTW
!

I really have to thank Chuck for being such a cool guy too.

The 60ft was a 1.66 60ft. I dont know if preloading first (LC2) will generate the 1.47- 1.5's you were seeing on LC1- all though it would be nice LOL.

But Ill take a 1.6's all day oppose to 1.8's

Now if we can catch a good day and cut a 1.6, were in business!
