Looking to buy some Non Run Flats. I like to drag race and push the car hard on the street and the drag strip. I don't road race the car though.

I was looking at PS2's but would like to be in the mid $300's instead of mid $400's.

Does anyone have a recommendation for some good traction tires that are affordable?

Not many options out there. The consensus is that Toyo R888 is the best tire for the track/street.

R888's are probably the best option, but won't last long and won't do well if you go through standing water... I would just go with the PS2's...

Another option if you are considering Michelin PS2 is

Michelin Pilot Super Sport but you can put on 275/35-20 front and rear and it will be OK, tire diameter 27.6"

Noob question: Does the GTR handle/drive/get better traction with non run flat tires? I know the BMW guys are big on swapping them right away but I don't see too much of that here. I'm guessing a can of fix-a-flat is a must have if you take off the rft's too.

BMW guys have a lot of tire options in their size. On average the handling and comfort gets better with non runflats mostly because of noticeable weight loss from each tire and softer sidewalls.
