long story short is as previously reported another facelift of the R35 (using the existing VR38) is due to arrive next year with different body panels front fascia and a digital dash out of the new Z. this is the short term future to expect but according to the source Nissan is using their newly developed solid state battery tech to produce an electric GTR by 2028 with all eyes on the Taycan.

Hope this is true. Need to get an order in at normal prices before they stop production and move to EV.

I haven't heard anything officially but there have been two separate reports out of Japan that the R35 isn't done and is getting a refresh with the Z digital dash. We will see if it happens

this car is never going to get any lighter if the new 2023 much smaller Z is 3605 lbs

Considering that the old Z32s weighed in over 3600 lbs, the new Z hasn’t really been lightened by more than a few lbs. I guess I would be curious to see how much lighter an R34 is compared to the current car.
Google told me 3439-3543 depending on trim for the R34 which sounds about right to me
