That's sick!
Up to around 170 mph it is not quicker than a Suzuki Hayabusa...

No you are not. Modified GTR with no cats and running race gas is not street legal .

My car on 100 octane unleaded (the same fuel Bugatti recommends for the Veyron) is street legal.

Since when is race gas illegal?
It's not around here, anyway. Regarding cats, who cares....

Leaded gas is illegal on the street and there is no alpha 12 over there. Alpha 12's time is not on 100 octane. Skyline is comparing times obtained on leaded gas vs legal pump gas.
Who cares, I don't but certain law enforcement agencies do.

Even on unleaded pump gas, the GTR has produced over 900 whp (=1000 engine HP at least), and that translates in faster acceleration than a Veyron.
So? Callaway Sledgehammer from the 80's is about as fast, yet you see nobody shouting about it.
Callaway sledgehammer is inferior to such GTR. It is too old, with only two seats, limited traction due to RWD, cheap interior, no satnav, proper A/C, heated seats etc. You can't compare an archaic car to a modern car!!!

Veyron SS power-to-weight = 3.37 lbs/hp

Hayabusa power-to-weight = 2.90 lbs/hp

the veyron does well to be as quick as the hayabusa up to 170mph, after which the the hayabusa becomes a fading dot in the rearview mirror.

edit to correct hayabusa power-to-weight stat.

All points you mentioned can be fixed via aftermarket.. just like GTR's "lacking" standard performance. And, back in it's day, it was the fastest thing on the road. GTR is not, and will not be the fastest thing on the road because it's not designed to be.
That dumbass skyliner still think Heavy fatass veyron is quicker than lighterweight sport cars

What is Joe EvoMs 996tt time 0-170 in TX Mile??

I know he ran 0-186 in 14's

Really? Are there aftermarket 4WD and DCT and two back seats options for the Corvette? Dude are you on crack?

much like some other comparisons though... you will be hard pressed to find someone who can get a good launch and get the Hayabusa to 170mph than those who can simply nail the throttle in a Veyron to get there. It's not always the engineering spec, but the ease at which it is attainable.
If Skyliner posts, it's time to slap your head real hard.
