oh awesome

been waiting for a proper drag vid though

that's an amazing achievement for a much lower tech and lower R&D budget car

I was interested in acceleration times, instead. Where the Veyron clearly loses due to excessive weight. 0-200 mph figures are these: 17.7 seconds for the Agera R and 22 seconds for the Veyron. With top speed mode and without the extra passenger, he could do that in under 20 seconds but still he wouldn't beat the Agera. Remember that Bugatti claims 0-186 mph in 14.6 seconds (never confirmed by an independent test) while the Agera did it in 14.5 seconds. Agera for the win.

Next video: 0-350 kph (0-217 mph); Veyron SS vs. Alpha 12 GTR. Coming soon.

The Veyron has a high speed key to reduce drag that testers never seem to use. But my bet is that in a head-to-head the Veyron will still be ahead on track at 200mph even if the Agera gets to that speed first.

Nevertheless, in the long run, the Agera R would come out on top. Moreover, the Agera did not use launch control, unlike the Veyron.

Exactly, 20 seconds or TBD later, how much distance is covered by each car. It doesn't matter if one car trap 10 mph faster if it covers less distance. It only means you LOST and you are catching up. With your Alpha 12 comparison, AMS is only going to show the video of one of its fastest runs ever, not a typical run.
Just because your 0-186 mph time is faster doesn't mean you would win the drag race especially by 0.1 seconds. Get both cars together on the same road at the same time then you can say who is faster. My car on the same road, just difference temperature varies by 0.8 seconds 60-130 mph with same mods. That is based on 30 deg F temperature change.

'Distance covered' is what you need to compare.
