There are so many car covers out there. They all say they are the best. I am looking for an all weather cover that can be left on the car for an extended period of time thru rain, ice and snow. This is not going to be an on and off daily tye cover this is to be put on and perhaps remain on the car for a week or more at a time. I know that someone can give me the guidance i am looking for.Looking forward to you comments and experience you might be able to add

Probably does not cover your requirements, but I have the oem gtr cover, in black color and it is flawless... it is more of an indoor cover, I put it on and take it off weekly, fits very nicely into the car. No problems so far, the interior is very soft so it does not scratch the car. It has a nice gtr logo over the front.

I mainly put it on after cleaning and detailing the car, since the car is black it helps keeping it clean of dust.

Don't get a car cover. You will scratch the car everytime you remove and put back the cover. The surface of your car has dirt on it and micro particles. The friction of the cover on and off will scratch you clear coat. The snow and ice will not harm your clear coat if you leave in the driveway. I know some will not agree, but I have been detailing cars for over 20 years and have also owned a car cover and will never own one again. The key to the car cover is too have a fully detailed car and then LEAVE the car covered and only remove ONE time. I hope this helps.

Zero2Sixty,
I agree with you and thanks for your response, You are also on Long Island as i am so you know the deal with the winters,My car is a daily driver so it sees all kinds of weather anyway,I decided against the car cover idea and will break down and get the garage ready for the few times i might need it during the winter, My problem is i have an older fully restored 911 and a restored Norton Motorcycle and my sons 2009 Z is in the garage and im too good a dad to give him the boot. If you are ever near Glen Cove give me a shout its always great to say hello to another one of the smartest guys on the road. Best of luck to you.

As a felow Islander here, this is my plan. My GT-R is a DD also, but I plan to rent a a car for the months of Jan and Feb ( true winter months). I believe the GT-R can handle the winter, but I worry about the guy in the 4x4 that thinks he can stop on a dime in the ice or black ice then rear ends you. I plan to use the GT-R in the winter when there is no precepitation on the ground or in the forecast( so I will have some fun days). I do not worry about the salt or dirt in the winter and I wash my car as long as it is over 45 outside, which will happen in the winter time. If I need the car washed and we have below 45 highs for more than 2 weeks then it is off to Detailing Dynamics for a hand wash. Detailing Dynamics is one of the few places I trust with my car and they wash outside everyday in the winter. They have heaters and a huge tent . So use the car and do not cover it up. Enjoy and I hope to see you around one day.
