Looking for someone to do some sound deadening work and some stereo work. Looking for the type of person that takes their time and cares about details. Can be with a shop or independent.

If you go that route, anyone with a little skill could do the install.

To give you a price idea on a full system from La Jolla Audio, I was quoted a 3 way Dynaudio, Audison processor and amp, JL sub, sound deadening and install for around $13,000.

I agree. I told them so when I received the quote. They took off a few dollars, but wasn't anywhere near what a quality shop should have charged for the work, which is why I passed on it.

dynaudio is very expensive. the msrp prices are in the thousand for speakers. either way 13k is really high!

The Dynaudio part of the quote was about 2000.. Total equipment cost in the quote was about 7000.
