Stillen/AP Brake Owners, or Sean:
Do you know the THICKNESS of the Pagid CCM brake pads NEW, including backing plate?

I am doing antirattle clip mod and changing to Carbotech XP20 pads--the "CT ENZO" pads that are the proper CCM spec width (wider toward spindle than stock brake GTR pads).
The pads don't seem to fit, seem too thick.

My NEW Carbotech CT ENZO XP20's are 22mm/0.88" thick WITH backing plate. (Pad material is 18mm/0.65")

How thick are "Stock" Pagid RS29 CCM pads from Stillen?

I am wondering if the CT ENZO XP20's are too thick, or if somehow I have to knock my pistons back more, though they look about flush...grrr.
Thanks!

Luckily for you I happen to have a brand new set sitting in my garage. I couldn't find my calipers, but I measured them at somewhere between 16.0 to 16.5mm thickness for the RS29 CCM pads.

Bernie: Thanks!
The maximum width of caliper (pads + disc) is 77mm/3.02", set by the width between the hard cuts in the aluminum of the calipers at the top and bottom on each side (the "track" the backing plates ride upon).
The disc is 34mm/1.33".
This leaves 43mm/1.69".
Divide by 2 brakepads = 21.5mm/0.845" pad+backing plate each, MAXIMUM.

The Carbotech XP20 CTENZO pads are 22mm thick! They cannot fit this way. Stillen/AP must have specific thickness pads made up for this kit; same SHAPE as Enzo pad, but less THICKNESS.

My CNC machinist buddy will have to machine the pads down. It looks like I could remove 1mm each and get them installed, as long as the pistons knock back as far as those cuts in caliper...which I think they DON'T, eyeballing it.
I am thinking of machining them down by 3 or 4mm each, to 18 or 19mm each. Pad thickness is basically just run time before pad change, but they are expensive
so I'd like to leave as much as reasonably possible; not sure I have to get down to 16.5mm that Bernie ruler'd.
Would like Sean/Stillen/AP to chime in.

I will have to check tomorrow at work. The normal D1832 is:

he FMSI(Friction Material Standards Institute) number for the front brake pad is a 1382. Each company uses their own part number to identify a brake pad, but the FMSI number is universal.
7.46 inches(189mm) x 3.6 inches (91 mm). 0.730 inches (18.5 mm) thick total
