I was using Martin Nissan but my SA is no longer there. Has anyone used the new guy Eric?

Anyone with mods who can recommend a dealership? I'm not looking for a dealership to look the other way, I want a good tech who isn't going to tell me he can't fix my glovebox because I have a tune.

Guys I can trust not to f around, basically.

I'm not positive but Saint Charles Nissan is pretty friendly from my understanding its where AMS has bought several cars, the owner and GM of the dealership even took a tour of AMS if I recall, so they seem to be a mod friendly place but I don't have personal experience.

This is true. I would suggest giving them a call. While we don't have any experience directly with their tech's, I can say that their service manager has been very helpful.

If you are looking for just general maintenance you are more than welcome to give us a call or stop by.

Guys thanks for the heads up. St. Charles sounds promising, but it is a little far for me (about 40 miles one way). Does anyone have the service manager's email address?

I'm looking for a dealership to do warranty work/recall work, not maintenance work. I have an open recall on my car I want to get taken care of.

Thanks for the help... if anyone else has a recommendation that would be great.

It's probably also too far away for you, but consider Rosen Nissan in Gurnee. They have an excellent GTR specialist who has worked with me on my new 2012 (no major mods yet).
I live in Chicago too...

I had a good experience with my 1000 mile service + some warranty work at Mid-City Nissan in Chicago. My car was stock though. It didnt seem like they do many GT-Rs though so any alternatives that are close to the city would be awesome.

Anyone have any experience with Continental Nissan in Countryside, IL?

I just made an appointment there with the SA Lynn Davidson. I am going there Wednesday. Still have an open recall that I want to take care of. She is going to introduce me to their GTR tech. I will report back what I find. A bit of a drive, but not bad.

Polivoks: I've had great experiences at Continental. I actually referred Marcus there.....
hey guys new to the chicagoland GT-R owners fold. my mods are in sig.. can anyone suggest/steer me towards a dealer in chicagoland/suburban area that would be cool with those mods while getting a POS service? or just a good GT-R dealer in general? is the consensus for Continental?

I would call the Service Manager at Rosen Nissan Motors in Gurnee (Steve), ask for the GTR specialist (Brent), and describe what you want and don't want done specifically, and if it impinges upon POS service from their point of view. Shouldn't be a problem; anyway you'll get a straight/honest answer.

Guys,

I wanted to follow up and say my service with Lynn and Gary the technician at Countryside and it was FANTASTIC. The tech has been working on Nissans for 20 years, Lynn has been there just as long. This is a no-bullshit dealership that is absolutely top notch. I didn't get hassled because of my mods (which were not relevant to my service) and I just was extremely pleased with my experience. Lynn answers email quickly, stays on top of things, and the tech I had couldn't have been nicer. He even took me back while the car was on the lift to show me some things.

HIGHLY recommended.
