i know if it was discussed before, but i cant find the reason why i cant launch the car(2009 USDM) i searched through the forum and made sure i got:
1. The right map

NISSAN GT-R TRANSMISSION: KJ10B VDC OFF STOCK STYLE LC5 TCM MAP (MY13 OR USDM14), LAUNCH CONTROL, STOCK THROTTLE, NORMAL WASTEGATE, 91 OCT/95 RON, V1.03

tried and

NISSAN GT-R TRANSMISSION: 38B0B VDC OFF STOCK STYLE TCM MAP, LAUNCH CONTROL, STOCK THROTTLE, NORMAL WASTEGATE, 91 OCT/95 RON, V1.03

2. Launch settings:

R R VDC off

3. The car is warmed up, no warning lights on the dash.

i have tried few other maps, including older ones like LC2 with no success.

Which map setting are you on now ?

Did you try R R R?

What is the exactly problem when you try to launch? Can you get the revs to ~4000rpm when you initiate the LC? What tune do you have on the car? Your ECM tune has to have LC enabled and revs for LC set (usually to 4100)

Since he has a CBA, he has to use VDC off TCM otherwise VDC will kick in and shut down that launch show. What temps are your tranny at? Make sure it's over 150 degrees.

i have OTS map from Cobb web site( have tried few others as well and i know they work cause i can change boost settings):
2009 Nissan GT-R USDM Stage 1 Map, Performance, Stock Throttle, Normal Wastegate, 93 OCT/98 RON, v6.00

The launch control is just not activating, yes the required tranny temp is reached.
When in full stop, with settings R R vdc off, one foot on the brake another on the gas, nothing happens. I dont even go up to 4k rpm, cause you can feel it that launch control is not active

Set the RPM's from the AP menu for launch control and try again!

Do you have the V6 OTS maps?

I had this problem as well using the OTS maps. Never was able to get LC to work but once I got a real tune, problem solved!

Most likely the RPM is not at 4100 in his tune that's why I asked what version he has. I never had that problem.

2008-2010 CBA cars will only launch with the VDC off version of the launch control you choose. Those cars originally came with VDC off as the only launch control option, 2011+ cars can use either the Stock Style or the VDC off maps. Sorry for the confusion.

Did you ever get this to work?
ive having the same issue, LC5 VDC off TCM tune, and wont engage launch mode.
R-R- Off nothing.

I had a similar, maybe even the same, issue. My car wasn't getting up in RPM necessary to facilitate a launch. The TCM was stuck on an old flash from taking the car to the dealership most likely for a service.

Here is the thread where the fine gentlemen from the forum helped my iron it out. Car launches now but has to be on the VDC OFF map for LC5.
