Awesome! What was your thought process on going from ASP to SM? Was it purely the desire to build the car without much limitations or was it more of a competitive reason?

Wasn't as much motivation as the fact that the wife snapped the 2-4 shift fork at the Packwood ProSolo a few years ago. Being worried about the trans and wanting to do the usual beef up stuff required a move to SM and I figured in for a penny, in for a pound
SSP trim weights were very similar, main advantage was being able to et our crazy flat torque curve, being able to do my custom uprights which saved us a couple of inches of track and being able to beef up things that would likely go boom. I'm pretty sure a well prepped car with the right UD/BD stuff from a nismo world be very competitive in SSP especially at a pro solo.

Ha...right. You just reminded me of this rule in SSP. It sounds like a very good proposition, but I guess by the time you get all the right stuff, it wouldn't be much less than (probably more with the rarity of these things) a SM build.

With that said, I guess I should look out for a salvage Nismo in the future for the transplant.
