Have you raced any GT-R's with your Supra, hitman? I find it hard to believe that any Supra will have a chance with these cars at the power they're now making. Consistency is on the GT-R's side my dude.

How about at the strip? Supras still hold the record. And there are plenty of Supras that make big power and kill on the highways. Supras aren't dead.

As for racing GT-Rs I haven't raced any, My Supra has been in paint and under construction for a while.

Also don't be a GT-R fanboy thinking that a Supra can't beat one because until a GT-R can do this:

or this:

Then your statement is backwards.

And don't give me that crap about consistency because at those power levels it goes right out the window.

The Supra has proved itself on a drag strip and the mile. No concerns there. What it has accomplished is nothing short of incredible in the industry. For the street, different story. Not hating, but there are quicker and better street cars IMO, although more expensive. Didn't mean to insult you or your car. I'm far from a GT-R fanboy. Trust me on that one lol.

stock for stock, who wins? GT-R or Supra? Sure, if you strip all the guts out of Supra and then stick a jet engine in it, sure it will spank many cars around. But then again, do the same level of mods to GT-R and who wins? I used to have a Supra (ooooooooold one, 86) and have a soft spot for the car but it's not apples for apples comparo, unless both are equally modded.

the fact that a car thats as old as the supra is can be compared to a modern-day car is pretty impressive. supras are no joke when modded i think we all know that however the gtr is on a whole different level. there arent too many 9 second supras you can drive to the grocery store for instance. not saying that alone automatically makes the gtr a better car but the modding of gtrs will only continue to get better and eventually the supra will die out.

having said that, i HIGHLY respect supras. always exchange a thumbs up when i see one on the road (which doesnt happen too often)

First of all both cars are from different times. You don't need to strip all the guts out of a supra and stick a jet engine to go fast either. They do pretty well with bolt on and can hang with a stock CBA GT-R with full BPU mods.

The Supra won't exactly die out unless all of the cars magically combust. There will still be Supras driving around the road in the future just in smaller numbers due to time. A car dying out means that they won't be driven on the street or used in racing anymore. There are guys who still have monzas and Camaros from the 70's that drag race all the time doing 9, 8 and 7 second passes. And as for 9 second supras that can drive to the grocery store, there are plenty that can.
