I was originally dealing with a moron dealer for a 50th Anniversary and he demanded my wiring him immediately $130,000 like I have that amount normally in my checking account. He wouldn't take a deposit. I was telling my wife about this jerk and she got pissed at the dealer. She said "why don't you get the green one? It is pretty". I called the dealer that evening and bought the car. I might have it by the end of next week as enclosed trailers sometimes take a few days to schedule. It is green which I do like a lot.Got to love it when the wifey...gives you that push..."Get it already" ...OK TexasED when need pics...Proof of life...lol...Enjoy That Special Beast
I purchased a new T-spec from a dealer when they first began appearing. I paid $180k, never drove it, and sold it for $205. I have a 2020 that I enjoy so had no need to drive the Tspec. and see the value drop because of miles driven.Quick update on new GTRs:
Only three available in the nation and they are all T-Spec.
One in Santa Clara, they are asking $500K; they are also asking $220K for a '23 allocation
One in Ontario, they are asking $265K; this one seems to have miles already, WTF?
One in New Jersey, I didn't bother calling, because they are always in tralaland when it comes to pricing. Not that Santa Clara is not a new definition of ridiculousness!!!
New GTRs are now officially a collectors car, aiming for those with deep pockets, a few brain-cells, or big love for the R35.
P.S.
There was one advertised in CarGurus in KY, but the owner of the dealership decided to keep the GTR and not sell it.... :/
not bad. ive been tracking these lately and only see a couple currently up for sale private party. I see a MP in FL for 240K with 5k miles on it and a MJ at a lambo dealer in TX for about 240K also. thats not yours is it?I purchased a new T-spec from a dealer when they first began appearing. Good workSo, I was having a conversation with one of the dealers, and he made it sound like there were no more GTRs in the market. So I decided to do a quick market research, and this is what came up (yes, I got on the phone and called all these dealerships):
Note: MU = Mark Up (existing, but not disclosed)
City Year Color Price Riverside, CA 21 White $133,760Riverside, CA 21 White $133,760Orange, CA 20 White $133,000Orange, CA 20 Black $125,000Orange, CA 21 Blue $157,000San Juan Cap, CA 21 Black $140,040Alhambra, CA 21 White $151,000Alhambra, CA 21 White $151,001Van Nuys, CA 21 White $146,000Concord, CA 21 White $151,040Deluth, GA 21 Blue MSRP+MU New Castle, DE 21 Red $125,000New Castle, DE 21 White $126,000Pompano Beach, FL 21 White $141,000Scottsdale, AZ 21 Black MSRP+$10K Matteson, IL 21 SS $141,040Stafford, TX 21 Black MSRP+MU
Granted, they are no where close to MSRP, but they are out there.
A few things to note, there are a few 2020s in Orange, CA that are not being advertised. Also, a few of the dealers have inbounds besides what is shown above. And lastly, New Castle, DE claims to have had 9 coming in, and already sold 7. They are the only ones asking for MSRP at this moment. Van Nuys gets the "Douche Bag" customer service award. The guy was very rude at the end of the conversation.
Note: Be advised, if you call a dealership using the phone listed in CarGurus, CarGurus will provide your name and information based on your Goggle account (from what I could tell). If you don't want them to know who you are, get the dealer's phone number from the dealer's website.
thats crazyThat red Nismo was for sell at a dealer in Milwaukee (Rosen Nissan Milwaukee )back in February and I was about to trade in my 2017 Nismo for it at 189k price and then the dealer called me and said some one purchased at 210k.

I understand that a market economy is driven by decisions made by buyers and sellers. But as long as dealers charge really high ADM, and there continues to be buyers to who pay it, these cars will remain out of reach for people like me. I don't like it, but that's just the way it is. I previously bought a '21 C8 at MSRP, and am on another C8 list for MSRP. But along with another car I've had my eye on, the Lotus Emira, the GT-R would still be my choice among the three IF it were sold at MSRP.thats crazy
I don't know, maybe the same buying a Z06 at $40K to $50K over MSRP? I spoke to one dealer here in Florida and when I said I would pass because they wanted $40K over and I'm not paying above MSRP, they said to come to the dealer to "negotiate". Crazy times for sure, but as long as there are ballers out there willing to pay these high ADMs, the store will keeping asking for them.Smh..who is buying a GT-R with a 40K markup in 2023?....
