Hey Cobb,

Everybody here, including myself loves your AccessPORT and your software. I have been lucky enough to test out beta and alpha versions that are wonderful. I currently work in the software industry -- if we released software revisions once a year, we would be out of business. Do you have a date on when we can expect the next release?

It's been over a year since we have had some supported map revisions.

Some questions:
  1. As a customer, what is your release cycle?
  2. Can we 'up vote' ideas/development for future releases? (e.g. www.ideaexchange.com)
-----

Note: This is not 'bashing' Cobb in any way. They are a great company - but I would like to know how we, as customers, can get more involved.

Thank you!

We've been testing and developing the V3.6 maps. They would have been released months ago but they are dependent on the latest firmware which also supports speed density. It was some bad planing on behalf that added this dependency but we are getting very close to releasing them.

If you would let to test the map for yourself PM your email and I'll send you the maps and instructions on how to update to the latest ALPHA firmware.

Got to love the last-minute dependencies prior to release!

Do you guys have a planned release cycle? How do you plan future releases for the GTR?

We are trying to move to a planned release cycle to make it easier for planing and resource allocation. We want to go to a 6 mouth cycle, but that is going to take us a few months to implement. We have so much stuff that is in ALPHA and BETA testing that needs to be finished up and pushed to release. We've been working on LC1-LC4 flashing, Speed Density, real time tuning, and even some stuff that I'm not ready to even to talk about.

Most of the time our planing involves Thistle, Eric, Will, or myself adding a feature and then a scalable to get it tested and documented. As you well know documenting seams to take longer than anyone want and slows down the whole process, but is an important step in releasing a new feature.

Keep an eye out for Speed Density release, our high horse power maps (V3.6), and even a few hard parts!
