Hi,
I recently purchased a cobb tuner 006 but can someone explain the difference between the alpha and beta software. sorry if its a dumb question but this is all new to me.

Alpha software is experimental to be able to test new features. Beta is more mature, but not fully tested. For most applications you want the full release stuff.

It depends on you car and what modifications you are tuning for.

Is the Alpha only a TCM upgrade or does it have new ECU maps too?

Alphas/betas can be either ECU or TCM maps.
