Dodson clutches with Willall fluid

Has anyone run the Dodson clutches (superstock in particular) with Willall transmission fluid?

Why you ask? The Willall Victory Spec is a very very good fluid from experience and I really don't want to change unless I have to.

There is not very much info available on the Dodson fluid

nobody?
Whilst it's not exactly the same I'm running the 14 plate Willall Clutches with the Willall transmission fluid and I haven't had any problems at all. Had some other brand clutches before these and they lasted one track session before overheating and dying on me.

Slip.
What clutches did you use before that did not last?
I use the Dodson fluid with the Dodson clutches.
The fluid has been tested over and over on these clutches before they released it to the public and it's cheaper compared to Willall.
I think Mick knows what clutches I had.... in fact he had some as well and threw them in the bin before they even made it to his GTR.... needless to say it wasn't the Dodson clutches.

Hey Paparazzi, fellow Trini here living in Miami. I just wanted you opinion on the the Willall fluids (for trans and diff). I hit Sebring and Homestead courses with 2012 GTR and transmission temps rise too fast (after 3 laps on Sebring). Looking at a trans cooler now. But are the Willall fluids the best?

Thanks

Hey man, good to hear from you. Willall is solid stuff for sure. It's also very expensive. To date its all I've used in my gr6. Willall standard followed by Willall victory spec. I believe in the victory spec Willall. I've launched my car over 25 times with vdc off (never any wheel hop) on the v spec fluid with no issues. Even on the days I run hard in auto x and on the highway I never see over 105c.

There tradeoff with the Willall is the shifting and take off is not the best when cold because of the extra viscosity of the fluid.

I'm going to be switching to Dodson fluid soon because I'm building my gr6 with Dodson clutches but even then I'm using the race fluid which is thicker than the standard Dodson fluid.

If you don't plan to swap out turbos and just tune the 2012 you might want to consider the "light" version of the Willall which is better than the stock fluid coupled with the Hks gr6 cooler or greedy cooler. I'm not a fan of pump based coolers because it one more thing to worry about failing.

Willall's diff fluid is in my view the best. I used it and had no binding and chatter. Then I switched to motul because I just found the Willall was too damn expensive but the diffs makes a lot more noise with the motul than the Willall so I'm switching back.

Hope this helps

Thanks Bro for the helpful info. Only concern is warranty issues with these uptight Nissan GTR Dealers. Just not used to worrying about warranty issues when I modified my 997TT @ Champion Motorsport, they always took care of any issue.

Anyway the Willall fluids looks like the way to go. The 98 octane at the track from Sunoco turns the 2012 car into a monster. Just looking at Trans cooler, GREDDY TI 94 exhaust, SS break lines, no turbo upgraded or major break upgrade planned. I was running with some highly moded 911s and 458 Italias and was on 98 Octane at Sebring.

The GTR was flawless and fast as hell!! Just the temp issue was a concern. There was mad respect for the GT-Rs ability from the guys on track after they got passed. I took a friend who had significant mods to his 997TT for a ride in the GT-R and he was in shock that it was stock. I plan to move a little cautiously with mods wanting to measure track performance as I make changes. The breaking system showed no fade after 3 hot laps at Sebring.

My plan eventually is to do something radical (but small scale) like a road rally in B'dose (where the wife from). You know surprise the Subaru and Evo guys with a GTR. But I need a roll cage...... better seats etc...

Thanks Again
Hope things cool down soon for you all in T'dad
