The main prop shaft is always spinning if the car is running. The FWD shaft only spins when the car is in gear.
To the OP. Have them check the drive shaft bolts first. The drive shaft is balanced by the factory, but I have also heard of it throwing weights on rare occasions. If the bolts loosen, you will get vibration. I had a similar problem, but it was between 1500 and 2200 RPM. My bell housing was just flat wore out.
