I'm to the point of needing new fronts and soon there after new rears. Currently I have re070's on and am considering moving over to the dunlop all seasons. My car is more of a daily driver that I drive for work and errands around town and I'm thinking I won't be doing any driving schools or drag strips for a while (I've got an nsx for that). For those that have had both, can you really tell a difference street driving between the two tires? It sounds like you get twice as many miles out of the dunlops vs the 070's.... Thoughts?

I had the Dunlop all season and they are great and lasted 10,000 miles. I have no problems keeping up with the re070's on the drag strip and zero issues during normal driving or autocross.
Why would you use the nsx for drag and road course? It is much slower!

I have the all season Dunlops and they're terrific.

I don't think you'd really notice the difference between all seasons and Re070s unless you were at the limits. Which it sounds like you won't be.

And the all seasons (as I'm sure you know) should last quite a bit longer than the RE070.

It's paid for.... and my insurance doesn't cover driving schools etc. I would hate if anything bad happened to either car, but at least with the NSX it's not like I have an outstanding loan to pay off. Plus the NSX is more engaging even if it's not at fast.

That's what I'm banking on.... it'd be nice to get another 5000-10000 miles like MC said in a previous thread on comparisons between the two. I just don't want to feel like I'm on some super hard tire without grip when I want it.
