This past Friday the Forged Performance motorsports team headed to Savannah GA to spend some time on Roebling Road. We loaded up or two car hauler with the Forged Performance 996 GT3, a client's Nissan GT-R and made the four hour trip comfortably in our F-450 tow rig. After grabbing some dinner with friends we made our way back to the hotel to get some much needed rest for what what was sure to be a tiring but amazing weekend ahead. This particular event was held by Flat Out Motorsports, which is a fairly new company ran by two long time friends and customers of ours that specialize in giving people like us the track time we desperately crave. This was their first event at Roebling Raceway and the quality of cars participating were top notch and the groups had some very fast drivers. Lamborghini, Porsche, Nissan, Mercedes, and many others were well represented. With only 40 cars and 4 run groups everyone was able to see more than enough track time to satisfy there desire to go fast.

The Flat Out Motorsports event was professional and top notch all the way. It was hard to believe this was their first organized track day, as the level of organization, instruction, and safety would easily rival a more experienced track day organizer. Sharif was asked to lead the classroom instruction session before the novices hit the track. With laptop and power point presentation in hand, he has a unique ability for making complex driving theory really easy to understand and digest.

Roebling Road is an often overlooked track in our neck of the woods, but it's high speeds and flowing corners provide a great opportunity to test and setup our cars.....and scare the crap out of passengers.
Sharif even let [email protected] run a couple of sessions in the GT3 to get his feet wet in a "real" race car. Check back on our blog soon for more news on upcoming Flat Out Motorsports events. Word on the street, is that Sebring is locked in for 2012!

One of our customers in a 996 Cup was the fastest car there.

It was a great weekend for sure...I ran the GT2 all weekend long and had a blast! if you guys have a chance to go to a Flat Out Motorsports event I would recommend it, these guys did a great job.

Thanks for the pictures Chad, for sure some nice cars and good people.

good shots bro
looks like there was a great assortment of different cars racing. nice pics.

even the hundai looked pretty good...
Thanks all. It was a great success: no incidents and lots of flat out laps on open track. Our goal is to provide plenty of open track time for experienced drivers in a collaborative and fun environment. We limit the number of novice drivers in order to give them in depth instruction and get them "driving the line" quickly.

We had quite a showing of the top performance and tuning shops on the east coast; Forged, TopSpeed, Titan, PRS, amd Forge. We're working hard on our upcoming schedule and will keep NAGTROC posted on new events.

Thanks,
Ron
