With the ecutek tuning, buying new you will get a license that stays on the ecu. Buying a used one, such as mine, you will need to buy a license to go with the actual dongle and cable to be able to load the files to the ecu. This can be purchased from one of the many ecutek tuners. That's all you really need.
Is there an easy way to Self tune with the ECUTek, or do you need to go to a master tuner? I'm interested, but really looking for basic tuning with some minor FBO's
You can get a decent etune from any of the ecutek tuners. I was FBO on it. You can see if they will get you a license to self tune it but it will be easier if you send them a modification list and you'll have a tune back shortly after. From there you can just log it sand resend it to him for revisions.
