All,

This situation happened twice this month and not sure what might be causing it.

I fill the car to almost full and after it has been parked for a day, I am getting 3-5 ounces of gasoline lying on the ground. I followed the source and it seems to be from under the car but behind the passenger door. I assume that might be coming from the rear of the car and towards the rear passenger panel.

The weird thing is that I am not getting this leak right away after the fill, but rather after hours to a day of been parked on the garage.

To all long time GTR owners, mechanics and/or tuners... What could possibly cause this? Just trying to narrow down the areas or things to look for in order to find the cause of this problem.

Thanks!

The gas tank access panel is under the rear passenger side seat. Someone could have opened it to change pumps and not put the seal back, etc. Pull the seat and double check the seals and fittings there.

I found the leak on the cover of the fuel tank. See picture below. Improper seal? Or a bad seal? I guess that I will have to open it up to find out.
