This is normally what the transmission does. Depending on 'where the gearbox is' in its process when you select R or D it can take up to a second or so to get the gear you have asked for. Occasionally the DCT in the EVO X can take 3 - 4 seconds to get reverse - Mitsubishi write that up as being perfectly normal in their user manual!
Gear shift indicator flashes several times before engaging R and D
Hi guys as the topic says the gear shift indicator flashes several times before engaging R or D this happens mostly when the transmission is in normal operating temps sometimes it engages from the 1st time and i can hear the gearbox trying to select the gear but its not engaging immediately and when the it does select R or D btw im running WR35TM as my transmission fluid
