Hi guys so a garage in Kuwait who is a Dodson Pro Dealer rebuilt my transmission (full circlips/pistons and superstock clutches) and after the rebuild the car only shifts to 2nd gear

his telling me to keep the car at the garage until some guy from Australia comes to Kuwait to do the relearn (after 10days) and to never put the car in Park in this state ?

should i be worried ? also i told him that i can take the car to the dealership and do a relearn there but he refused

the bit that im worried about is that he told me to never put the gear selector to Park before the relearn... hmm rebuild issue?

you can do a relearn with Cobb 006 ...

not sure bro.. I don't think its normal..

Not normal. I just had by gearbox built to similar spec (clutches, locks, pump and shaft and gear) and it went through all the gears like normal.

Dodson techs are trained not to do a relearn unless its absolutely necessary i.e. that you cannot get the car to run well by adjusting the tp and cc within a certain range. There have been instances when the relearn causes more problems than fixing things.

Did he interfere with the valve body assembly? Sounds like that kind of issue to me. Any codes?

also his telling me the car needs a relearn because the pump has been changed to dodson thats way it needs a relearn...

This sounds like a valve body issue. Next time do and ecu reset and see if the car drives. These codes are well documented on the forum.

The valve body may not have been put together properly.

The car drives but in limp mode tryed to reset but its the same

and his still telling me to wait for the tuner that is comming in november to Kuwait !!

The gear engages on 2nd and drives but it keeps flashing in the indicator with no gearbox noise or anything it also engages on reverse normally but still in limp mode

Please check the vavle body proper installation, especially the gear selector pistons proper rotated position. Relearn do not neccessary for working transmission after rebuilt.
