Big Thanks to Dave and Jack for helping me install/tune GotBoost Intake. Took a bit longer to get it right, bad fuel sucks.
Overall, Dave was great in step by step direction, great support, great finish product. Thanks!
Jack, thank you!!! thank you!!! for helping me get the car running right!!!

I think mine is coming Monday.

Putting that and upgraded injectors on and then will get Jack to update my tune.

Sounds good.
Yap upgraded to id1000 at the same time, Jack will take care of it!
Nice!

Mine goes on sometime next week along with ID1000's and downpipes

What was your install time for both?
Intake,1st time it took about 3 hrs (just wanted to make sure I didn't break anything), make sure you use soapy water for the boots. 2nd time around, 1 hr max.

Injectors, never done anything like that before but thanks to speedforsale instructions,

2hrs start to finish. I had the car in my garage for about 2 weeks, so it didn't lose any radiator fluid, only fuel of course from injectors, I also did not take rails off completely, I was able to pop the injectors with out removing the rails from the car.

Wasn't bad overall, ask any questions.

I'm doing the same thing next week after I pick up my car from Shep. I see in the instructions it says to update your tune BEFORE installing. I am assuming it is OK to do some 3rd gear pulls for Jack with the new injectors and 3" intakes after install so Jack can dial in. Assuming you don't track or drive to hard. Can you describe your tuning process with Jack?

What Jack is going to do (speaking for him) is initially give you a "ballpark" tune so you can go out and datalog.
+1

You will be sent a base tune which has a generic settings for the intakes and injectors

Then your tuner will adjust based on the logs you send

It is NOT recommended to start you car yet drive with injectors and intake without a tune
My experience was what Goodwood and max_R35 had mentioned, Jack pretty much knows what the car will do with our basic installs, so he had asked me to start the car, BUT don't get on it like max_R35 said, it is not safe, but just drive around for about a minute and send Jack the data log.

Jack sent a map back where he can just dial in afterwards and i went out for my 3 gear pulls afterwards, make sure to keep an eye on your boost gauge/our knock sensor. After 3rd time, it was done.

Make sure you have good fuel, I got a batch of bad fuel (filled it to the top on my 1st test run) and had to run it all out to get accurate/consistent data. If I were to do it again, I would put just 1/3 tank to make sure its good fuel.
Where can I get this intake?
Where can I get this intake?
You need a tune, because its a 3" intake.
Sean,

thanks for reply. I decided I will eventually get a Cobb AP in the near future before I get the intake. I think the Cobb AP with one of the staged maps first and then intake with a tune. It just doesn't seem logical to run an intake without tune after talking with you and several other experienced people.
Just to clarify, so you guys had the tune loaded BEFORE the injectors and 3" intake were installed? So when you started her back up, the updated initial map was already on?
I want to put this on my IPOD so I can listen to it in bed....
