Video from the Day:

The team at GOTO:Racing is in the middle of their two week road trip which includes SEMA, Super Lap Battle, and Redline Time Attack Finals. After a successful week of PR at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, complete with plenty of speculation on how much power the GT-R would make on the coming dyno day, the GOTO rig pulled up to HB Speed to put all speculation to rest.

T
he previous dyno day, held only two weeks ago, the GOTO GT-R had some issues with MAF sensor resolution. Harman Motive provided some new prototype intakes that were installed and round 2 began. The car started out at 620 WHP at 15psi, and was slowly raised over the day. The COBB AccessPORT held boost perfectly at every level our expert tuners wanted.

Eventually Tim Bailey from COBB Surgline, and Jon Drenas from HB Speed, had the R35 racecar holding 22.5 lbs of boost. At this level the car made an amazing 787 WHP and 721 WTQ. "I had hoped we would have made just north of 700 HP, but to make just shy of 800 is just amazing. I can't wait to feel this thing on track," commented Brian Lock, lead driver of the Dell(tm) Equallogic GT-R. "The scary thing is this car has a lot more in it," said Tim Bailey, "we want to verify this tune on track, make sure we have no drivetrain issues, then we can get even crazier." This recent dyno session has shown again how amazing a bone stock VR38DETT can be.

GOTO:Racing will be at Buttonwillow Raceway this coming Tuesday to test the GT-R for the first time at this power level. Hopefully they will have what it takes to shock the competition at the Super Lap Battle.

Holy Sh!t.
Only mods on this car are HB Speed/Cobb Tuning tuned, AMS Turbo upgrade, Deatschwerks 800cc inj, Harman Downpipes, midpipe, ic pipe, and intakes.

Look at the dyno, makes 600 + TQ from 3300 RPM to redline.

Can't wait to get going on my car!

I have not seen any other GT-R's with as much "wheel" HP, I could be wrong. I know there are a lot of people on this forum that have been posting crank HP and people are getting confused.

The dyno at HB Speed is calibrating to read industry standard. But to compare, a stock GT-R on this dyno made about 425 WHP, that is an increase of about 360 HP!

The tranny is stock running Willall fluid.

its confusing because both AMS and AAM say they need more fuel but you have had no issues what so ever (as well as a few others) producing these numbers.

as for the WHP the record was held by SP engineering with the new greddy kit. only thing stopping it from going higher is making it safer, engine internals etc. i forget the whp gain over stock but its over 320hp over stock, i just dont remember exactly.

I am intriged. I believe my car started running out of fuel right around when it was making 700awhp and the fuel pump had to be upgraded. I know the other shops were too. Not to mention clutch slipping with Cobb and Haltech runs with 91 oct,109oct and C16. Im a big fan of the COBB AP(my first upgrade) and not trying to bash it. I just want to be able to get the same results and would be happy to change back to a COBB AP if it will solve the tranny software issues and can truly produce this type of power increase. Didnt see it when I was getting it tuned(tried both COBB and Haltech).
My base run was 390awhp, end result 775awhp w/Haltech.

Is this on stock intercooler? damn... those AMS upgraded turbos are sick!

wow .. so all i would need is 800cc injectors,AMS turbo and intakes? to make 700whp without breaking a sweat?

huh.... something to thing about..

How is a stock transmission holding that horse power without slipping? I am not getting this at all. RSfootball has had nothing but tranny issues with his crazy power. Am I missing something here?

Congratulations guys. Fantastic numbers. Exciting to see the Cobb stepping up to higher power and boost levels.

Also, is the Cobb holding the boost? Or is there a boost controller in the car as well?

Hing brings up a very good point. Is there upgraded fuel pumps in the car to supply the fuel?

Please update on the modifications please.

Thanks.

All of the mods on the car can be found on our build thread on the first page, first post.

I don't know what to say on the fuel pump issue, we just don't have one. The dyno readings are spot on as well, a stock GT-R makes 425 on that dyno. I contribute the results to our tuning staff, Tim and Jon are amazing.

We use no other boost control methods, just the stock ECU with the AccessPORT. You can see by the dyno sheet that the control is spot on.

sounds a lil crazy.. guess we will see how she does on the track... definitely know almost all the cars over 700-750 whp are having tranny slipping issues even with modified clutches .. cant wait till this TCM is cracked and we can avoid all these headaches. once i upgrade my turbos i doubt ill turn them up past 17psi just because these cars don't seem to want to put the power down without slipping.. and yes fuel is definitely going to be an issue. sounds to me like a high reading dyno.. but even reading high the car still made amazing power

I am a little confused... please explain to me why AMS turbos on Drago's white car made 610 whp with 22psi and you guys made 787whp with 22.5 psi??? am i missing something? how did you guys make 177whp with .5 psi and the same turbo upgrade ? not really understanding how that is feasable?

qoute for AMS website:
On our chassis dyno with just an AMS Turbo-Back Exhaust, boost controller, upgraded injectors and a tune we were able to take our stock GT-R safely from 434 all wheel horsepower all the way up to 610! Torque was also bumped from the stock level of 406 to a massive 581 ft lbs measured at the wheels!!! Most impressive of all, this was done on JUST 22psi and 93 OCTANE PUMP GAS! "

Race gas vs 93 oct would be my guess.

Huh... not sure i buy 170+ whp due to race gas.... i know timing plays a factor.. but normally you run more boost with race gas... but in this case it was the same boost..
