GT-R won't select odd gear shift

Looking for answer to why my 2010 gtr would only select even gear shifts.

Sat on my drive last weekend letting the car warm up, moved forward no more than 3m then selected neutral.

This is when the T/M warning appeared and the car was showing 2nd gear on the dash, I tried putting into manual this wouldn't work or select the R buttons which wouldn't work either.

I drove of the drive hoping it might of been a clitch, so when it change up, it jumped to 4th, I decided to turn round and head back to my drive but it wouldn't select reverse. I went round the block and got back on the drive

I returned to the car about 20mins later to find it now selected all the gears again, but came up with a engine malfunction warning instead

The car has been recovered by Lichfield and I'm awaiting the out come.

Has anyone else suffered this issue?

It sounds like you have a bad clutch sensor. I had the same issue, but instead of even gears I had the odd gears. Failing sensors is probably the most common failure on these transmissions. Good luck!

It could be a pressure sensor or a solenoid. Possibly a selector piston. Without a code it's hard to help narrow down the window. Being a 2010 the clutch seal is less likely.

Thanks for your replies

What I remember of the conversation with the garage, is that they attached the ecu cable and the fault code isn't what they first thought

the problem was, which was to do with the solenoid spinning and having to fit the clips to stop this happening again.

They are going to remove the sump of the gear box in a couple of weeks,to see if they is any irregularities there, I think they mention teeth missing

from the gear cogs and issues with the solenoid maybe. I shall keep you posted

The driveway looks empty with out her. :(
