hey guys... sorry about this.. this was my original thread on m3post.com ... I was just trying to get some help staying off my GTR addiction (unsuccessfully btw since I'm waiting for Jason/Boulder Nissan to tell me when I can put my 2013 GTR order in
) .... since that post... the thread has snowballed into a very idiotic discussion with some members who seem to be 13-year old kids... just ignore it...

I tried to educate the "non-believers" on the bimmer forums back in '08 of the R35, they were in total disbelief back then too. I guess it's hard for people who never grew up with or heard of the skyline GTR to believe that it was always just as quick or faster around the track than their M3.

I've gotten to the point I could care less what anyone thinks of my car. I like it and that to me is all that matters. I have reams of track video from 20 track days. There are plenty of times I am blowing past an M3 on the front straight like it is standing still. And no, not one of them ever caught up to me in the corners.

Unfortunately, almost everyone on that forum is a fanboi. I've tried time and time again to open people's minds and even in that thread, I've tried to show people that BMW isn't the be all end all of cars, yet they refuse to believe it. All I gatta say is, I'm a believer. No use in trying to change a BMW owners mind. They'll always think they have the best car around, period.

I agree with you. I've owned my M3 for about a year now, and one thing I've noticed between M3POST and NAGTROC is on M3POST there is a lot of thread bashers ... they get stuck up on their point of view and ruin lots of threads. There's been lots of examples of threads that started out nicely there and turned into very personal attacks. It feels like there's lots of forum members out there that are teenage kids or just very immature adults. Most threads on NAGTROC on the other hand are flat out fun to read!

I categorize myself as a high perf. car nut. That means I enjoy all high performance cars - they all have their character, strengths and weaknesses. IMO the GTR is basically a legend. So is the M3 - and that's my opinion flat and simple - others may disagree but no need to make it a personal attack.

I have a M3 now but I hope to be in a GTR soon. I can't wait! I started that thread in jest and it has turned into a pile of shit.
