GTR vs C8 Z06 – Stability & Handling Under Power?

The GTR’s AWD system makes it a rocket off the line, but how does the Z06’s mid-engine, RWD setup feel in comparison?
Have you seen any of the reviews of the C8 Z06 (or even c8 stingray)? That should give you an idea. The car is so much newer with its tech, launch control program, and with it being midengine, the car launches just as hard (if not better) than the GTR.

Objectively, the RWD midengine layout is going to be more fun and rewarding to drive most of the time. It just comes down to whether you like the C8 package more over the GTR.

This is exactly the kind of feedback I'm looking for, but from someone with experience in both platforms. Does the midengine and updated technology of the Z06 surpass the GTR’s AWD and or does the GTR still hold the edge in certain areas (launch, 60-130)?
The answer isn't even remotely subjective. It is an empathically yes with no sugar coating. The C8 is literally a 12 yr newer car. Only a GTR fanboi will tell you that it isn't. The only thing the GTR still has an edge is it's tunability because it is turbocharged, but I am not sure how much more power you need with a 670hp NA high reving engine.

But what do I know since I haven't driven a z06 yet. Lol

The prices are coming down on the Z06. Many dealers are selling them at or below their MSRP. If you were okay with a "bare bones" (1LZ), they can be had for much closer to $100K than a '24 GT-R.
All things considered, a C8 Z06 for just under 100k in the current car market is actually a lot of car for the money. I'd definitely take that over the GTR if I was in the market.
