Monday morning I hit a deer on the merrit parkway going about 90 mph. I swerved and avoided a frontal impact, but the left side fender and door definitely need to be replaced as they are dented beyond return. There was absolutely no structural damage but it's bumming me out that I've owned the car for less than two months and am already spending 4-7k on new parts. Rear quarter needs to be smoothed out and repainted and I need a new drivers side mirror as it exploded all over the highway. I will try and upload pictures of the car by friday and I'll upload a picture later today of one of its antlers that lodged in my open window on impact.

If anyone knows about salvage parts i can get for cheaper, please let me know. Otherwise if anyone has any info on where I can get any OEM exterior parts that I mentioned above, that would be great. This is my first post on the forum but I'll definitely use it more often now!

sounds like a good time just to make a claim and get some better parts? Call Ben over at GT-RR they have alot of new CF parts coming in for the 2012 models. I know the Cyber carbon fenders look amazing and many other parts. You never know it may be almost the same cost to go all aftermarket depending on what Nissan Oem parts are running.

It saddens me you can hit a deer with a car going 90mph, but leaves rustling in the forest will scare them off while im hunting.
Next time im just going to tape a headlight to the front of my arrows and bring a car horn along with me.

I haven't had the best record with speeding tickets in the past and I'm not sure I want my deductable to be more than it already is (not pretty) I was just going to absorb the cost myself if I could find salvage parts, and if I dont see a drivers side mirror pop up I'll just upgrade those.

Yes good point. Earlier on that night I had JUST finished installing a Revozport Carbon TBL trunk from them and my joy was short lived loll.. Does anyone know if you NEED wheel spacers or new wheels for those aftermarket front fenders to look "right" on the car?

Thanks for the quick responses and suggestions guys. I'll probably go for the Cyber FRP fenders and a 10mm front spacer if a stock one doesn't show up. I'll be checking regularly to see if anyone is selling their OEM parts as well. If I end up with those C-West fenders, I may have a 2012 passenger side fender up for sale if anyone needs a replacement.

And yea the deer was pretty messed up, horrible experience to say the least :/

It may be worth a call to your insurance agent just to ask if a deer counts against you. I had major hail damage on my Acura and Nationwide said an act of god does not count against your policy. Don't call the national claim # call the local agent to explain your policy. I also have many tickets but I never change my policy and have had no problems.

Good to know, I will definitely try this as well.

This thing literally ripped out of its skull, you can see the huge chunk of bone still attached to the end of it.

WOW! Man that sucks. It is deer mating season so they are out in full force. I thought hitting a deer would fall under comprehensive claim and the rate shouldn't go up. Someone keyed my minivan really bad, they keyed literally every panel from front bumper to rear so I had to make a claim because the damage was more 4k. Well, it fell under comprehensive claim and all I had to do was pay the deductable and the rates never went up. I would call your insurance and find out. It's worth trying in my opinion.

The claim should not effect your coverage as it falls under the Comprehensive Coverage not the Collision Coverage as it occurred with and animal and not a vehicle. I hope you at least got the road kill for your next BBQ!!! Good Luck! Imagine if you hit it going 120 miles an hour,it would have turned into sausage.
