What I don't understand is the super high demand for the 2012 models when the 2013 ones are only 8 weeks away. I'm one of the buyers that doesn't care that much about the extra 30HP they have planned for 2013 but that's a pretty big jump. You would think that the 2012's would suffer saleswise but I couldn't find one when I did a quick look. Is this because of the Earthquake?

2013 is probably 6 months away, but it's true, there are not that many 2012's available right now....

Sounds like you want a deal on a 2012 and not order a 2013. I do not think at this point you will find any deals on 2012's at . Good luck on your quest to find one.

I was lucky I got a 2012 Pearl White BE, apparently only such color available in the country. I believe a black 2012 BE is still available where I got mine.... albeit be prepared (like one of the responders have stated) dealers are not willing @ msrp... Good luck.

last week via cars.com there were 60+2012 listed for sale..
99% of them are BS. Many dealers keep non-existent vehicles listed on their sites as bait and cars.com pulls that bogus data in. I spent the past three weeks calling places that cars.com, and typically also the dealers' websites, said had 2012's in stock and only three or four did. Of those, they all wanted over MSRP. I started calling every place in the south east to see if they had cars and got lucky; found a dealer in north Georgia who sold me one at $1k over MSRP so I took it and drove it home today.

Like others, I didn't really care to wait another six months to take delivery of something with a little extra HP; when I want a new car, I want it now lol.

I'm in no hurry. I've got plenty of cars and I was going to pick one of these up and drop off my current daily 2 months early. Had a nice day in business the other day and thought it would be nice to treat myself.
I'm not looking for a deal. MSRP or a bit under and I'd write the check. Got the FF and the 458 Spider coming in the next six months so the new car thing isn't killing me right now. Eh, if I see one in white or maybe blue I'll grab it. I guess I'm just amazed that these are going in such quick fashion.

There are four Pearl White BE's in California right now. Maita Nissan (Sacramento), Petaluma, Glendale, and one other dealer in SoCal. Check autotrader.com.

I just decided to go with a Super Silver Prem. I pick it up on Monday. Stoked!

Is that so? Oh well, but then again sometimes facts from the web are hard to verify. Congratulations on your purchase....

Of course you understand the high demand for these cars. Didn't think it would be harder to get a Nissan than a Ferrari did you ;) ? The new 2013 will not be out until March 2012. About 6 months. Orders will possibly start around January.

Oh, and post pics of the cars

I hate to say it because I love the GTR, but if you have even one 458 then it would be difficult for me to own a GTR for anything other than a serious track car. The 458 is so much more refined its just on another level; the car is exceptional. Well done on your choice of vehicles.

Ah but there were few 1996 rx7s. Six to be exact. They were 1996 models and were a bit of a mistake as they came off the line as extras. The one you see is number 5. I actually need to take her in to get looked at. Rubber seals are giving way and a lot probably should be replaced. I just don't want to go an hour south to the guy that does the work. And pix of all the cars in one shot? Uh I don't even know where I'd do that without wAlking back and forth from the garages.
The gtr would be my daily car. I used to driven m6 convertible and it was easily the worst car I've ever owned out of about fifty. Then I got this g37s convertible. Eh. Build quality is terrible but the electronics are great. I'm looking at the gtr because: 1. It is 183.3 inches which is the same as the Infiniti and barely barely barely fits in my garage. 2. It has back seats for my 8 and 6 year old for the odd times they are back there. 3. It's semi auto so my wife can take it along with those great Nissan electronics and of course 4. It fits my driving style.
Personally, I don't think it's attractive especially from the front but the performance has me intrigued. I'm also thinking of the m3 which is seen a lot in this town and I sort of swore off BMW after that awful m6.
The s5 which I'm only meh on and it's going to be redone soon, the new porsche 911 (the 991) but I have to take my kids to the dealer to make sure they fit and there are more 911 driven by poseurs around here then I can shake a stick at. And in a sort of fading idea, the isF.
If my garage was bigger I'd just get the granturismo s race model and be done with it but it's way too long.
I'm open to ideas if you guys can think of something I missed.
