Everyone on the northeast, hope everyone is prepared for hurricane Irene, she is going to be one big b*tch...excuse my language but hope you are garaging your beauties and covering it or something if you have no choice but to leave it outside. Winds high up to 85mph...from saturday late afternoon until sunday even non-stop, along with rain. Hope everyone has their emergency stash of water, food etc...and for those who live in the city hope you either evacuated or get to somewhere safe, all mass transit shut down from 12pm Noon today, until further notice.

Be safe everyone!

Thank you and same to you and everyone as well.
I had to turn my 2 car garage into a 3 car garage.
Be safe and smart everyone. Been through typhoons in asia, winds are no joke with strength and debris.
Speaking of storms, there'a Category 3 typhoon hitting me here in Asia too.
Good luck to us all.

I'm at my moms house untill my house is built, and there is no garage here :(. I have my car parked as far away from trees as possiable, but I'm still terrified.
Are you near Taiwan? My dad is telling there is a slow moving typhoon that's gonna hit Taiwan this week as well.
He said it.isn't as strong as initially reported but is slower so it is lingering over each area causing just as much damage as if it were stronger and faster.
Be safe.

Yep, I'm currently in Taichung, Taiwan but the typhoon is ignoring us here and hitting only the southern parts hard.
Your dad's not in the south is he? It looks pretty bad still.
Looks like Hurricane Irene didn't hit NY as bad it was anticipated...but NJ and CT were hit more than expected...Hope everyone in those areas are okay and that nothing was damaged. Im glad nothing of mine was destroyed along with my business, glad that Im in the food business so people are a little over exaggerated when it comes to natural disasters like these so my shelves were all empty

My car made it through the storm un-garaged, just covered in alot of leaves.

Good to know....but wow....I can't imagine taking that risks.....
No power at the house for the past 4 days now and continuing...I have to charge my cell phone anywhere I can find an outlet :(
I just got power back today.....

As far as not keeping the car in the garage, my mom's house does not have a garage, and my house is under construction so I couldn't keep it there. If we get another storm coming this way I'm going to have the contractor finish the garage.
Glad there no horror stories and everyone made out it safe

Just got power back last night for me but still plenty without power.
Finally got the time to wash the GTR and take it for a ride yesterday. Still a lot of streets are blocked by trees and big branches, and power is out all over.
Got back power back wednesday around 3:00Am right after I got off of work...thank god I was able to take a hot shower...it sucks not having any power...I miss my GTR, can't wait to get her back...
damn haarp

hope everyone is ok
