If you didn't own a GT-R what would you own at the same price or less? I will start. If I can't get a GT-R I will buy a 2012 Camaro ZL1.....seems like quite the car for the price!

ZR1 if RWD. Possibly an EVO, then throw a lot of money at it, if AWD.

It is a RWD but quite impressive that it laps the Nurburgring faster then a stock C6 Z06 and will sell for 50,000. 580hp is a steal for that price. I would rather a GT-R, don't get me wrong, but if for some reason I can't find what I'm looking for it will be the ZR1.

ZL1 is a joke... GT500 is going to smoke that car... way to heavy...

Agree with the ZR1 only other alternative... if you don't require a backseat!

C63 AMG Black Series or even a C63 AMG Coupe.

I have no clue what I'll get when I'm done with the GT-R. Probably another GT-R or an SLS AMG or a BMW i8.
A brother from another mother...I was just talking about this car today with my tuner. We were talking about the next possible build and we ended up looking into the C63 BS coupe...the BS would be my preference because of the wide body look of the C63. I just think the regular C63 AMG is little too soft and feminine looking with out the wider/flared rear...

That is one bad ass car...with the MCT transmission this car is the new BEAST...in Palladium silver with red interior.

Agreed!!!! C63 All Day if i wasn't in the GTR. but yes the Regular stock C63 looks rather boring.. But sounds beasty.. The BS series is so sexy though..

p.s im rooting for the GT500 to spank the ZL1...

I don't want to turn this in to a Mustang vs. Camaro debate but I respectfully disagree. I believe that the new ZL1 will run circles around the out dated GT500 and will look better doing it. The ZL1 un-officially laps the Nurburgring in 7:41 so it's not just a straight line muscle car. According to what I have read the manual also comes with a factory launch control. Look out Ford!!

I do also like the GT500 but personally prefer the ZL1.

AWD, DCT, MFD, driver's cockpit, sexy exterior, supercar performance... hate to break the news to you :) the only car that could be considered 'close' is the Porsche 911 turbo S PDK, at $60+k more.

if I didn't have the sls I would have probably looked at selling the GTR for a c63 bs coupe as a daily

it may not be as quick outright but that engine is alot of fun on the street

there really isn't anything else out there that is comparable - harder in Aus as there is a 250k jump to a turbo s and a good 400k to a 458
