Is it possible to charge an Ipod while connected to the GTR ?

Some ipods like nanos won't charge with the GT-R's ipod hookup so you need one of these: http://www.scosche.com/consumer-tech/product/1667

I had the same problem and for 25 bucks it works perfect now with the Scosche adaptor.

My iPod classic charges in the glove-box of my 2010. Donno about the newer models of iPods or GT-Rs with the usb port instead of the iPod connector.

Only the non touch versions charge. I use my classic iPod for my gtr music library.

I just found this old thread and am bumping it because the Scosche adapter is brilliant and will take care of my biggest pet peeve as a USDM2010 owner. Just bought the adapter!

Apple changed the plugs. New products will not charge w/o the adapter.

Update: The Scosche adapter works perfectly. Charges my 4th gen Nano and wakes it from sleep mode when I start the car. Definitely worth the $18 from amazon.com!

It should. Like Greg S. said, Apple changed the plugs on the newer devices (such as my 4th gen nano), so the adapter should work with all iPhones and iPod's. I haven't tried my iPad yet, so no idea about that one.
