the engine # is on the front of the engine on a plate,, it should look like this.. here is mine

you wont be able to find the person who made the car though I did some research and spoke to some of my contacts at Nissan in the GTR program. The records are indeed kept but they are at Togichi and not something your dealership or even a middle of the road Nissan employee could obtain.. The info would need to come directly from Japan. to put it in to perspective it would be no different than getting the engine dyno of your car from the plant

I don't think the engines (Yokohama plant) are built in the same location as the GTR assembly plant (Tochigi).

thats right they are built at Yokohama and shipped to Tochigi

its the same people who have built them since day 1 but for 2014 they decided to do the name plates to honor them publically.. so 2013 and before is no different they just arnt labeled
