well im almost done with my bl850 package.well i was wondering i got the apnis-005 cobb with the package and i was wondering do i really need to up grade it to the nis-006...

will it make a diff if i still have my stock clutch still.bc they say it wouldnt make no diff bc i didnt change it out to a aftermarket.

naw im still have stock internals n tranny..im just goin to wait to see what i can do first with this set up then when if give up on me then im go internal n tranny

One has to drop the motor for the turbo upgrade so I was wondering how much labor does it cost to drop the motor again? You need AP006 to launch decent and adjust clamping power since it will definitely slip in stock setting. What turbos are you running? I have been looking at that kit with GTX3076R.

well i payed 22k for the kit n install..u can go to boostlogic.com n look what all cum with the 850package...do u know if i can just down loan the software or firmware for the 006 or i have to send it back to cobb

It has to be sent to Cobb in Austin, TX. You don't have to uninstall when you send in for upgrade. Go to their website for instructions.

well i payed 22k for the kit n install..u can go to boostlogic.com n look what all cum with the 850package...do u know if i can just down loan the software or firmware for the 006 or i have to send it back to cobb

i have seen alot of peep run the same set up n they didnt blow up yet so i guess ill c ..

And there are plenty of other people bending rods with just a HKS 570 kit... and shattering rods with much less power than what you're probably making. It's all about margins of reliability... to which we're all saying this kit exceeds on stock internals. Best of luck though.

but if the tranny is ruined u cant upgrade it with out buying a new one.... and what bout driving fast and rod blasting through the side into your legs???????? I would atleast get tranny and only run pump gas...

well the guys say if u lanch for vdc off thats what really messup your tranny..i read your set up whats your whp n if u ever ran it 1/4 mile n with vdc on r off

But if you don't launch with VDC off, VDC will kick in and kill your launch. So, at the power level you're at, you pretty much need VDC off. Again, you're not working with much... if any... margins.

well was bout to upgrade my tranny but some peep keep tellin me i didnt have to unless if i pushin over 900.i wish i knew bout this fourm i would probably did it.

He hasnt posted any dyno graphs so why are you guys telling him he will break his internals??
Stock internals will be fine if you run at approx. max 18psi -21psi depending on your cooling. and you should be getting to Alpha 9 or P800 territories with 93oct.

my car is gettin dyno i hope next week..im only usin 93oct..justin from tuning concept is help with the tune
