We just finished up another unique ALPHA 9 build. Craig drives his GT-R... I mean REALLY drives it. This is no garage queen or weekend toy. Craig puts miles on this car every day and in all weather conditions. We even had to replace a few items thanks to salt putting a beating on them.

Craig's car came to us as a traditional ALPHA 6 car. He tracks the car regularly and wanted more power for the road course and more to play around with on the streets. In addition to our traditional ALPHA 9 power package we added HKS inlet pipes, DCT Cooler, A built transmission by Shep trans and a tried and true AMS 3.8L long block complete with AMS ALPHA series camshafts.

What really sets this car apart though is the interior. Craig had our local upholstery shop do a 2012 Black Edition style makeover. it came out GREAT, in fact I think it looks better than the actual Black Edition interior. He topped it off with some clean CF accents and custom steering wheel. Lastly A Sparco harness bar and 5 points were added for track time.

All in all it turned to be a very well rounded car and super quick! Most importantly it's the car Craig wanted.

Final 93 octane numbers were 704whp / 634 tq
Final MS109E Race gas numbers were 817whp / 670 tq

Craig is on his way home to Ontario right now, if you run into him make sure to wave...that is if you can catch him.

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys!

A few "big thanks" are in order
  • At AMS - Eric, Eric, Chris and all the other folks that made it happen, as well as the 4 legged "receptionists" at the shop who were always quick to come say hello
  • At Sheptrans - John for putting together a solid GR6 and helping with my neurotic worrying about the trans shift selector piston wear
  • At Riggs Bros - Jim who did an awsome job on the interior and came up with a great idea and seat back insert that slips in easily for when I'm tracking
  • At GT-RR - Ben who worked with me until we had the CF bits and steering wheel all just right (they're finally on the car Ben!)
  • At http://www.carkitcompany.com/nissan-gtr - Brian (a.k.a. bdl99 on here) for the great rear-view camera setup and switch memory box. Super-well put together kits, no fuzzing, no cutting, no hassle, just plug and play
  • At Forged Performance - Ryan who got me a set of AP rotors at the last minute when I forgot to say that I wanted them
Oh and a big thanks also to CBSA (Canada Border Services Agency) at the Blue Water bridge for letting the car back into the country without any hassles. A few car guys working secondary last night so everything got a good look over, paid the man, and I was on my way. Certainly a lot better than the poor guy with the Switzer car that got torn apart on its way back to Russia.
