My current lug nuts are Black
M12x1.25 17mm hex 31mm
New lug nut are Chrome
M12x1.25 19mm hex 48mm
I wanted to change to new lug nuts because old lug nuts were rusted inside
I tried to install 1 pc of the new lug nut by tightening by hand first to engage the thread then using the wrench to continue. At first they tighten by a little bit and went loose soon afterwards.
Upon further inspection, the new lug seem to be too loose and not completely grabbing on the thread, just keeps on spinning with little resistance. The stud seems fine, but the new lug nut seems to have some damage on the inside thread.
They are both M12x1.25, so I dont understand whats wrong. Most especially i had hand tightened it first before using the wrench
I ended up installing back the old lug nuts again.
They seem to be the same 60 degree tapered
Although the black lug nut have a longer tapered part
