Not sure if my stock 2011 GTR has slightly more power or the M6 slightly less than normal, but I don't see how the M5/M6 catches up a 2008-2011 GTR at the top end (even though I have seen some youtube vids supporting this.)
Personal experience: With LC, it's not even close, many many car lengths following launch, and gap gets bigger at higher speeds. But even from roll, (or from dead stop,) leaving WELL AFTER the M6 does (1-2 car lengths M6 ahead at first) the GTR quickly catches up and keeps on pulling a gap.

I'm sure the M6 driver wanted to pour gasoline on it and set it on fire when he returned home :) j/k Actually, I'm not, he had been talking trash for months, and finally this, with his g/f in the car! Priceless.

Oh yeah, from a dead stop with LC it's sayonara!
But we did a roll from around 20mph, me in 2nd gear, and while he took off first I still caught up and crushed him by several car lengths.
I wished we can rent an airstrip and do 1+ mile runs :)

almost impossible to find a place to do a mile race side by side.. if you would fine one, roll cage would be mandatory...

I'm organizing quarter mile race soon.. only high end cars..

Same dillema here ! I've went up against an two M6's several times...from a dig, it's hopeless. From a low speed roll, no chance for the M6. From a 80 Km/h roll, the M6 does put up a challenge, but still not winning.

I too thought it was strange to witness the GTR getting owned in the youtube vids, but after all, it's youtube!

Would love to see how the F10 M5 would do though

You're right.

The S85 V10 in the M5 and M6 pull hard at high speeds. But, anytime down low it will always get worked.

I think the outcome of the F10 would be the same. It won't be able to get traction.
