Question to anyone in the Maryland/D.C. area. I'll be moving up there soon from Georgia and understand that there is emissions testing in MD. I have an 2009 GTR with a aftermarket midpipe and cat-back. No Cobb reflash. Can someone tell me whether I can/will pass MD emissions with this car? Thanks!

My car just passed with all of my modds

When I went the attendant asked me what it was and showed me the list of all the 2009 nissan's no GTR listed so we called it a Z...

Did my emissions check yesterday, and was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Funny, though, the employee examining my vehicle said he could not find, "GT-R", under his Nissan selections. So he just put it as a 350Z. =:0

Has anyone seen this?

Took my 2009 FBO E85 to emissions this past week.

They couldnt find GTR in the system so they kept using other as car selected.

They plugged in to the car, seemed normal for 10 secs, then stopped and displayed connection establish unable to retrieve rpm value.

They didnt fail, but i have few months to get this sorta out.

Im wondering if they use 350z instead of GTR any difference would be made.

Car is running great, no cel showing.

I’m guessing your also SD and not MAF.

Ecutek can pass on SD - it’s cheaper than putzing around with Cobb imho. Ask your tuner if it’s an option.

I just got my emissions via email. Hope mine will pass lol fbo with visconti tuning. Shouldn't have any issues?

MD requires all monitors to be in a ready state. My guess is your o2s are in a not ready state. You'll need to install the proper hardware and do a drive cycle to get them in a ready state.

Yep you were right... took it to a kiosk and it says "car is not ready to be tested and no repairs are needed at this time" ... strange. The car does have a low tire pressure warning due to aftermarket wheels, this wouldn't effect that would it? Thanks

I didn’t have any issues in MD...it’s mostly the OBD checking for the engine light.
