Just curious if anybody else wants a McLaren 570s as much as I do? That car is sexy as hell and I think is THE car to have in a reasonable super car price point. I am hoping the pricing falls like the 12c and 650s did on the used market.

Anybody with me? Anybody think there is a more killer car in the slightly under 200K price point?

It's ok. Great value, but I REALLY do not like how it looks from behind. I'd take a new r8 v10 or lp580-2 over it (depending on what I would use it for).

I would get a 570s if I was in the market. The styling is fantastic and from what I've read from potential owners that have driven them, it's amazing. 911 turbo s next to this thing looks downright pedestrian.

I don't know if you have seen the options list but it is very extensive and they are all quite expensive. My guess is that most cars come in around $215k. Still, at that price point it is pretty damn exotic and not much else in the space. Clearly you would have to weigh that against a used 650s (which at a minimum has the advantage of the top going down). I look forward to seeing some more road tests.

Thanks for those options lists. Ya I have seen most coming in at my local McLaren dealer optioned out at $215,000 consistently. Still a good deal, especially if used priced come down a decent amount below 200.

I would take a LP 580-2 over it too, but not really in the same price point

Doesn't the 570s start at around 180 and the 580 start at around 200? 20k at that level means the two can be cross shopped.
I don't think they confirmed the price yet but thought I heard 580-2 starting at $240,000

I'd take a 570S hands down over the 580. Reviews of the 580 sound like a AWD car that they tried to make RWD but didn't get it all the way right. Every review of the 570S is full of praise about the handling, fun to drive setup, etc. Has won multiple comparos against the Turbo S and newest R8 V10 Plus.

When I talked to the Mac dealer and got the option list for me at least I would just do a 650s. There are 200-400 mile 650s coupes selling for 220-230k and spiders in the 240-250k range. The 570 seems like a great car but at 215-220k I would take the 650s.

Agreed. Same situation for me. A 570 in the spec I want is well over 200.

I configured a 570 a couple months ago.

With the options I liked that I thought were a must have for the car, it came up to around 220-230k.

A fully equipped car including MSO Color and carbon options the car comes up to 260-270k.

175k is for a very, very basic 570.
