Passed the last few days in the Caribbean working on cars with Mitch McKee for the final "sauce" on this tune. I've been often helped by Mitch for about 6 years now and he's been a great support, always like his philosophy on his tunes trying to make them as consistent as possible to deliver a great driving experience every time.

We went yesterday to track that car on a crazy wrong air strip, uphill (like reaaaaaaly uphill) and stoopidly dusty. I managed to get a 7.13 eight mile which might seams not good for some people but we would trap 108 miles an hour on every run which is probably a better sign of what that car could do on a ¼ mile and a real track.

Car is running ALPHA 9 upgraded turbo/intercoolers/IC/piping-intake combo.
This setup is completed by an HKS Superior Spec R exhaust, oil pan and fuel pump kit on ID1000 with T1R fuel rails.
The gearbox has been greatly built by Sheptrans who did it in just a few days.

Engine is 100% stock, stock pistons, stock rods, stock cams…

The car is on LC4 and we managed a 0 to 62mph in 3.1 sec:

This run is in metric and km/h :

Our customer would just keep passing at 7.16 every single pass in AUTOMATIC mode(4 passes = same 7.16 all the time):

I went manual all the time so needed to learn and progress every run: 7.35 / 7.30 / 7.15 (right after Mitch telling me how disappointed he was about my times compared to our customer's ones) and ended at 7.13, here are the 2 last runs I did:

Thanks to everyone involved in this ( Mitch and Eric at AMS, Tony at ID & T1R, John at Sheptrans and Joe at COBB).

Great post and good numbers for the road you were running on!

For those that don't know Mitch McKee is the other tuner at AMS. Mitch and Chris work Hand in Hand on just about every GT-R that comes through here and are the wizards behind all the great cars we build.

This is the first (worst) run I did against the 306 PEUGEOT with a LANCER EVO 8 power train that we also were working on (stock powertrain on a GT30R pushing 25PSI).
The GT-R is only at 21psi for now (stock engine / 100 to 110°F outside).

Car will be back next month on a new racetrack, real 1/4 mile this time, passenger seat removed and driver seat changed for an AMS carbon one. Can't wait for the results ;-)
After that I think it'll be time for an Alpha10 engine
