Hello everyone! I am just a newbie and this is my first post. I just purchased '09 GTR a month ago and I want to update to LC5. I bought a used Cobb Access Port V2 AP NIS-006 with TCM (unmarried per description). I need some help regarding the step by step procedures of how to flash from LC1 to LC5. I only got catback and Y-pipe mods in my car, other than that everything are OEM. I am from California and can go only up to 92. I dont really use the car in the track. I just want to update to LC5 for more smooter ride. Please help me..
I do't really know how to start... I connected the Cobb to my car this afternoon, push the start/stop button 2 times without stepping the break so that the car wont start. These are the wordings that I saw in the screen:
Accessport Firmware: v1.6.8.0-10573

Install

1.Which one will I pick?
Standard Tuning
SD Tuning

2.Vehicle Identfication (Please confirm if vehicle matches..Identification results: USDM 2009 GT-R (ok)

3. This is the confusing part:

KJ10B VDC OFF... This map is locked to: Transmission JF09D GT-R
KJ10B VDC OFF... KJ10B Stock Style

Does it have LC5 on it? You might have to update the firmware on it to the latest version. You will want to select LC5 VDC OFF if you want to use launch control. Even if you don't plan on launching it, just select that one.

Ok, the confusing part for me is how to start the installation. I followed the instructions: insert the access port, press start 2x without stepping in the break, vehicle identification result: usdm 2009 GT-R, standard tuning vs SD (I picked standard tuning), Select the Map - this is where I got confused because I was looking for LC5 directly and I can not find it. I t only shows stage1, 91 ..some other settings that I dont understand. I did some research last night regarding how to flash the LC5 and the procedure says that I need to install the appropriate Map first and it will take me to TCM (LC5) installation after that. Can u tell me the map that I need to install? My car is basically OEM I only got Y-pipe and catback. I dont do track, just regular street use. I just want to update to LC5 to have a smooth ride and save my tranny in case that I do LC once in a while.. u know what I mean..I connected the access port last night to cobb website and it still updated, I did not adjust anything. I took a picture of the program installed in the pc screen, it has LC5 on it. Can you tell me which Map is the best for me based on those infos? Also, please tell me the LC5 file that I need to load, looks like there are more than one LC5 file. Is there also a way to uninstall this changes and go back to OEM or stock mode for the future? Sorry, I am asking too manny questions, I just wanna make sure that I am doing it right. i f you think I missed a step, let me know specially after flashing the LC5, what is next? Thanks - Tony

Update firmware and make sure you have the latest maps you want on AP.

Install standard (not SD) stage I.

Then TCM KJ10B VDC off LC5.

If you don't install vdc off, launch will not work properly.

Good luck and there are YouTube videos ;)
