I bought my 09 GT-R in August of 2009 from a guy who owned a car performance shop/dealership. He had bought the car in 2008 but because he had a dealer license, never titled/plated it (just used it for promotional purposes). I took the car in this week for my annual POS and while I was there, inquired about buying an extended warranty because I thought my 36/36K bumper-to-bumper was going to be up in a year. When I came back to pick the car up, I was informed that the warranty had expired 24hrs ago. I had no idea that the warranty had started at the in service date (09/12/2008). Now I'm trying to buy the 84/70K extended warranty, which costs the dealers $2868 but all my local dealers are quoting me over $5K for it. Does anyone work at a dealer here or know of a good dealer that will sell this for around $3K? Please feel free to PM any info you have. Thanks

I'm surprised you can't get local dealers to compete on price. It's an easy sell for them.

That's below dealer cost, I believe. They must've taken a loss on that to get your sale on the GTR.

I am curious, Did they work the warranty into the deal with the purchase of the GTR? And is it a Security Plus Gold Preferred warranty or an aftermarket warranty?

72 month 75k miles for $2856 and 84 month 70k miles for $3290 with 11 or 17 months 0% financing. They said that there is only one type of coverage from Nissan for GTR is that right?
