I'm not 100% sure but was told the turbos are different. They are modified and limited quantity. But I could be wrong... is there a gt800, gt800r, gt800+ and gt800R+ ?Looks like the main upgrade from GT800R (step 1) are the camshafts and tougher rods / piston combo (step 2). Same turbo setup but a new looking plenum.
Very nice kit!Looks like mine except I didn't go with HKS components for 'step 2' stuff.![]()
what's the highest power car you've driven at its limit?*Yawns*... 850 hp GTR used to be impressive, in the past!
That is irrelevant! Reality check: This video shows a 850 hp GTR, when 1500 hp GTRs are now available. The first time we saw a GTR with 800 hp, running fast, was..... 2 years ago! Remember the good old P800 running 0-300 in under 20 seconds, beating Hayabusas and LPE Corvette ZR1 in 2009! Now it is 2011, and after two years this kind of acceleration is just old news....what's the highest power car you've driven at its limit?
I ask because I'm not sure that you understand the kind of handling issues high power brings to road racing. Also, don't underestimate the power under the curve - i'm sure HKS doesn't waste time when they develop their cars...That is irrelevant! also, have you seen the 8-second GTR at a road course yet? no. why? are they still testing things? probably. does that make HKS' car less good? i don't think so.That is irrelevant! lol my point is 850ps is still mad impressive. My point still stands: 800 hp accelerating GTRs is like two year old news.... Today the number of horses is double!
I know it is hard to corner with so much power, but that is another story.
