Overall the GTR is good for many things. If you do get a chance to track it that would be best. It's really held back for street driving unless you have long stretches of isolated freeway.
If you do get a 2012 there is little need to mod it right away, just enjoy as is stock and see what it feels like. Driving school always makes sense.
