What.....???????????? Damn just had the 2015 installed yesterday

 

You mean the 2016 one right? The one on the 2015MY GT-Rs is two versions behind now and that's the one I have on mine from the factory. When it comes time to warranty replace mine it's good to know I will get the newest version from the 2017MY. This is part of the reason I haven't pushed my dealer to replace mine. I'm was holding out for a newer version.

Good because I was actually,wondering the same thing yesterday. Hopefully it does correct the rattle but I won't keep my hopes up.

 

Yeah hopefully someone who has a 2017 can comment on how their bell housing sounds whether or not it still has the infamous rattle.

I just had my bellhousing replaced under warranty. I'll need to check my paperwork and see what p/n was installed.

 

Mine will be getting replaced during my upcoming POS service. I'm glad I held off until a better design was made.

Checked my paperwork just now, and it appears that I have the updated bell housing.

In the approximate 100 miles that i've put on the car since getting it replaced, it has been silent. Hopefully this holds up long term. The silence takes some getting used to as i've grown accustomed to the rattling of the old bell housing lol.

 

I'm pretty sure my 2014 with 21K miles needs that fix as well. Sometimes the rattle is very noticeable when stopped at a light, making me wonder what others around me think about a supercar that sounds like it's falling apart.

 

Assuming the part number change and redesign addressed the bearing. Why is there no shrug emoticon

 

I have the new bell housing in my 2012. So far so good. The car doesn't sound like a old Cummings 6BT anymore which is a plus.

 

Mine might need replacing soon.. Glad i found this thread !

Also, any updates from the ones who got the latest (hopefully greatest) revised bellhousing ?

 

The bellhousing on mine was replaced with the latest and greatest less than 2 months ago at 15,8xx miles on the car. With about 1200 miles on the car now, it is still pretty quiet but not as quiet as the day I picked up the car. We shall see how long this one lasts.

 

My 2017 doesn't seem to make any noises but only have about 3,500 miles on the odometer

I will be getting this MY17 bellhousing installed on my 09 with 26k miles. The rattles always been there with little to no side effects but would rather have it done for mechanical peace of mind.

 

Just got the latest revision installed over the weekend. Obviously it's too early to tell but it's dead silent. Takes some getting used to ! We'll see how this holds up.

In Canadian peso's my bill was $5411.48 for the dealer to do it.

 

stupid question does the motor has to be removed to have this bell housing replaced?
